Greg Peterson's College Basketball Picks For November 3, 2026

It might not quite be as big of a slate as on Monday, but plenty of money to be made in college basketball on Tuesday and this is a sampling of what made Greg Peterson's card for Tuesday.

Fort Wayne Mastodons vs. Duquesne Dukes 7:00 PM Eastern

‍
Duquesne sped up in a big way last season, ranking 107th in total possessions per game and faces a Fort Wayne team that was 309th in points per possession allowed on defense and 361st in rebound percentage. The number on Duquesne is cheaper than many would expect due to top returning scorer Tarence Guinyard unlikely to be eligible to play in this game as he is fighting in the courtroom for a fifth season of eligibility but Izaiah Pasha should build off the 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game on 33.3% 3-point shooting he had at Delaware two seasons ago while 6-foot-11 Ege Demin enters from Oregon to give an extension low.

‍
Duquesne -9.5 and Over 153.5 (Greg's Handicap Duquesne -11.5 and Total 157.5)

Coppin State Eagles vs. Virginia Tech Hokies 7:00 PM Eastern

Coppin State was 348th in field goal shooting percentage, 362nd in points per possession, and 337th in defensive rebound percentage with 33.1% of opponents missed shots becoming an offensive rebound last season while Virginia Tech was 155th in points per possession allowed on defense last season.

Virginia Tech -30.5 (Greg's Handicap Virginia Tech -36)

‍
Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs. Arkansas Razorbacks 8:00 PM Eastern

Both teams played fast last season as Arkansas was 13th in possessions per game and Arkansas-Pine Bluff was 62nd and both teams gave opponents second chances with Pine Bluff allowing opponents to rebound 33.6% of their missed shots as an offensive rebound, ranking 343rd while Arkansas was 225th in defensive rebound percentage. Arkansas was third in points per possession on offense and led the country in fewest turnovers per possession but were 223rd in points per possession allowed on defense while Pine Bluff was 321st.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs. Arkansas Over 163.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 168.5)

‍
Cleveland State Vikings vs. Missouri Tigers 8:00 PM Eastern

‍
Missouri should be able to exploit a Cleveland State defense that last season was 363rd in points per possession allowed on defense while on offense, Cleveland State was 21st in 3-point shooting percentage at 37.5%. Much of last year's guard rotation is gone and the team was 355th in defensive rebound percentage with opponents grabbing 35.3% of their missed shots as an offensive rebound.

‍
Missouri -25.5 and Over 158.5 (Greg's Handicap Missouri -35 and Total 167)‍

‍
South Dakota State Jackrabbits vs. Kansas State Wildcats 8:00 PM Eastern

‍
Kansas State hired former Belmont coach Casey Alexander as their new coach and figures to be an uptempo team that likes to shoot from the outside as Belmont was 95th in possessions per game last season and led the nation in 3-point shooting percentage at 41% while South Dakota State returns muc of last year's guards as Joe Saylor led the team with 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists per game on 41.2% 3-point shooting while Kalen Garry had 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game on 36.7% 3-point shooting.

‍
Picks: South Dakota State +11 and Over 158.5 (Greg's Handicap South Dakota State +10 and Total 164)

North Florida Osprey vs. Cal Baptist Lancers 10:00 PM Eastern

ranked 364th out of 365 teams in points per possession allowed on defense with opponents rebounding 36.4% of their missed shots as an offensive rebound, which ranked 360th. While Cal Baptist new coach Kyle Getter, who was Notre Dame's associate head coach last season, won't have this team as stout down low as last season when they were 16th in rebound percentage and 34th and opponent 2-point shooting percentage, they should take it to a North Florida team having to travel through three time zones for this games.

Cal Baptist -8.5 and Over 154.5 (Greg's Handicap Calp Baptist -14 and Total 158)

‍
CS Fullerton Titans vs. San Diego State Aztecs 10:00 PM Eastern

The Aztecs should have an edge down low with 6-foot-11 Jeremiah Cherry, who had 15.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game in six games at Sacramento State last season while CS Fullerton was 307th in total rebound percentage last season. The Titans also have to replace much of the guard rotation from a unit that played at one of the fastest paces in America last season, ranking third in total possessions per game.

‍
Pick: San Diego State -15.5 (Greg's Handicap San Diego State -20.5)
