Promoguy's May 2024 Results

It was another strong month as 2024 continues to go very smoothly. Twitter finished up almost $800 ($797). This is tracking the minimum max (so often $5/$10 on no sweats, $20 on fanduel boosts etc) and minimum boost people get (for like mystery golf boosts I tracked 18% each time) on only widely available promos on Draftkings, Fanduel, and Caesars. Fanduel led the way finishing up $380 followed by Draftkings (+$303) and Caesars (+$114). It brings us to +$4800 for 2024 (average of just under $1k per month). The discord was a bit more up and down with ESPN strong and MGM/Bet365 struggling. I will get into it all below

Twitter Takeaways:

  1. Consistency has been refreshing - it continues to be a low variance 2024. We haven’t had a month below $569 (January) and between the 3 tracked books only one book has even recorded a losing month (Caesars in February). 
  1. Balanced profits - nothing really jumps out. I would say the biggest thing is the +$129 from no sweats in may without even considering the free bets. Pretty dang good on $5/$10 tracking only. Fanduel boosts were +$140 and free bets kicked in another $180. 
  1. Quantity - We have been able to keep profits up despite lower maxes due to increased quantity. For example, last May we had 122 bets vs 177 this May. 

Discord Results/Takeaways: 

While getting the twitter plays early is one advantage of the discord, there are also many other books covered only in the discord. In January (2024) i started tracking the discord’s PNL for 3 of the major books that are not covered on twitter. ESPN, BetMGM, and Betrivers. In an effort to save time I just use a flat 1u system for these books.

Betrivers: +13.61u, +125 u ytd. 

Not a very notable month on BR

ESPN: +44.22u, +110u YTD. 

May was ESPNs best month yet. They really brought it promo wise and we were able to cash in. 

MGM: -21.73u, +100u YTD

MGM in May gave us our first instance of one of these 3 books (MGM/BR/ESPN) to finish down on the month losing 21.73 units. As i say each month that MGM does well, its always a bit overstated because I track all plays posted and there are way more promos given out then any one person would have. Not much to chalk it up to other than some bad luck - there was nothing different about MGM in May than any other month. 

BET365 (done by ROIGUY): -$750 on $50 units, ___YTD

Bet365 had a terrible month in the discord. Not sure the exact culprit but obviously plays weren’t doing too well. Luckily it is going to finish up around $1000 in June.
