2023 is in the books and we have the final results and breakdown here (note I got bombarded with football stuff during September and it is missing - my Pikkit Twitter tracking was up small so we’re going to pretend it was a flat month to make it easier because its way too difficult to go back and track everything with replacements etc so oh well i'm sorry now I do the notes to make end of months easier). I only track the minimum max books gave out for a given promo and only track Fanduel, Draftkings, and Caesars as they are in just about every state and behave reasonably well to the action I bring them (smaller sportsbooks it would be unfeasible to do on Twitter so I do them in my discord). The discord things run smoothly for books such as Bet365 , BetRivers, MGM, and ESPN as it is a smaller audience than my Twitter. Those who were able to tail made thousands from these and other books this year from following my promo plays.
Betrivers particularly has impressed me lately with the parlay insurance promo that we have done very well with implementing the strategy outlined a few weeks ago (see here). The results have been excellent so far for this promo. On to dissecting the Twitter results:
Net profits: +$7,980.
Basically 8k profits in 2023 after 10k in 2022 is definitely a successful year. Add in ROIGUY’s widely available Draftkings step up parlays (done in discord) making $2,347 and the $1,054 a limited Dinger Tuesday account would’ve made tailing me in the discord and we are up almost
$11.4k on the year on just widely available promos on Fanduel, Draftkings, and Caesars tracking as conservative as possible. After throwing in Bet365, Barstool/ESPN, Betrivers, MGM, etc and many people just tailing promo plays made tens of thousands on just promos and boosts in 2023. This is without mentioning some with higher limits and state specifics or account specific plays that aren't tracked (results on some of these books after the main ones will vary based on promo and non-promo limits). Despite the grumblings, EV betting is alive and well but let's see how the nearly 8k profits are broken down by book, month, type of play.
Profit by book:
Fanduel takes the crown (well technically Draftkings with the step ups does even post dinger tuesday but for Twitter only stuff we are ignoring that) with $3,938 in profits and Draftkings comes in a close second at $3,044. Caesars doesn’t really belong in the same conversation as the first two finishing a distant third at $999 in profits on the year. There were several books we profited more than Caesars that I didn’t do on Twitter because they either aren’t in as many states or I feel would be more sensitive to our action and thus difficult to execute to the bigger following.
Top 3 months of the year:
2023 was a low variance year with no month worse than -$258 (and that was in jan) and no month better than $1834 (April). In 2022, there was a higher variance in profits I believe because of the overall shift in the sportsbooks to more promos at lower maxes in 2023. We had less huge hits but also less devastating runs as higher quantity (at lower maxes) brings a smoother profile. March Madness was our best promo so I am not surprised by the March/April big months. We made $761 from Fanduel boosts in April, another $150 from UCONN winning it all, and $618 from free bets winning.
How did Fanduel boosts do this year?
Fanduel Boosts tracked up $3,041 this year
